Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons to children in Key Stage 1, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils’ academic and social development. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire young learners and contribute to their early educational journey.

Duties

Plan and deliver creative, interactive lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS1 pupils.
Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with special educational needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure a cohesive approach to education and pupil wellbeing.
Organise and supervise extracurricular activities that enhance the pupils’ learning experience.
Maintain accurate records of pupil attendance, behaviour, and academic achievement.
Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe learning environment at all times.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Proven experience in teaching early childhood education or within KS1 settings.
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques suitable for young children.
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Passion for inspiring young learners and fostering their curiosity and confidence in learning.
Ability to adapt lessons to cater for individual learning styles and needs.
Commitment to safeguarding procedures and promoting inclusive education practices. This role is ideal for motivated educators committed to making a positive impact on children’s early years of schooling while developing their professional skills within a supportive environment.

Pay: £32,916.00-£45,352.00 per year
