Sales Executive

(Also advertised as: Client Liaison, Business Development Associate, Client Relationship Executive, and Sales Development Representative)

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves sales. Not someone who's curious about the art world and sees this as a way in - but someone who is excited by the process of selling itself: the calls, the relationships, the satisfaction of converting relationships into results.

What you'll be doing

This is a desk-based role at its core. You will spend most of your time on the phone, over email, and in messaging threads - following up warm leads, and nurturing long-term relationships with collectors and buyers. You’ll be managing the full sales cycle from first contact through to order processing, invoicing, and shipping – while also working closely with the wider sales team and customer care team to ensure a seamless client experience.

We have significant and growing clients across the US, and this role would suit someone who would be happy to work flexible hours. We encourage operating a later schedule - starting late morning or noon and finishing into the evening - to allow better overlap with American time zones. If you're a natural night owl or simply prefer later hours, this could be a great fit.

It's a fast-paced and busy environment. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys being on calls and working alongside passionate salespeople in a buzzy office.

Who we are

HENI works with world-leading artists and estates across print-making, publishing, digital art, NFTs and art research. Everything we do is driven by a simple mission: to make art more accessible. We have several dedicated platforms for collectors, including HENI Primary (a digital platform for new originals), HENI Editions (high-quality, exclusive, limited works), and HENI Private Sales. We’re a serious, growing company – and we’re building out a sales team which reflects that.

No knowledge of the art world is needed and we don't expect it. What we care about is how you sell.

The structure

This role is salaried, not commission-based. We believe the best sales culture is built on collaboration, not competition. You'll be working alongside a close-knit group of people who share targets, share knowledge, and support each other to grow collective revenue. If you're motivated by being part of a high-performing team rather than chasing individual bonuses, you'll fit right in.

What we're looking for

At least 1 year of sales or business development experience.
A genuine desire to build a long-term career in sales.
Confident, concise, and articulate communication skills – both written and verbal.
A natural ability to build rapport and connect with diverse people, particularly remotely.
Organised, focused, and comfortable working at pace.
Resilient, hardworking, self-motivated, with a collaborative mindset.
Empathetic and enthusiastic, skilled at listening and building trust-based relationships.
Attentive and detail-oriented, consistently updating our CRM after every client interaction.

Desirable but not essential:

Experience selling luxury or high-value goods.
Background in telesales, remote sales, or telemarketing.
Additional language skills.

Full training provided - no art industry experience necessary.
