Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Practitioner to provide high-quality care and support to children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, including those with special needs, and possess strong communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development while working within a supportive team committed to fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to early childhood education and inclusive care practices.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development for children of various ages, including toddlers.
Support children with special educational needs or disabilities by implementing tailored care plans and fostering an inclusive environment.
Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Observe and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones to inform planning and reporting.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other childcare professionals to develop programmes that support individualised learning goals.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting or similar environment.
Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
Strong teaching skills with the ability to adapt activities for diverse needs.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for children's learning is advantageous.
Genuine passion for working with children, particularly in toddler care settings.
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are preferred but not essential; however, ongoing professional development is encouraged.
