The Lismoyne Hotel is a well-established independent four-star hotel offering 62 appointed bedrooms, a restaurant and bar, and a range of flexible function and event spaces. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences, whether welcoming leisure travellers, corporate guests, weddings, private celebrations or conferences.
We are looking for an ambitious, creative and commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead our sales strategy, increase revenue across all departments, and strengthen our presence.
The Role
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for driving business across accommodation, food and beverage, meetings and events, weddings, and functions. You'll develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
Working closely with the events manager and operational teams, you'll create and deliver sales and marketing initiatives that maximise occupancy, increase event bookings and enhance the hotel's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the hotel's annual sales and marketing strategy.
- Drive revenue across bedrooms, restaurant, bar, weddings, conferences and private events.
- Identify and secure new corporate accounts and local business partnerships.
- Generate enquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
- Build relationships with event organisers, wedding planners and local businesses.
- Conduct hotel show rounds for prospective clients.
- Manage the hotel's online presence, including website content and social media platforms.
- Plan and deliver digital marketing campaigns, email marketing and promotional activities.
- Work with online travel agents and distribution partners to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Analyse sales performance and produce regular reports and forecasts.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, exhibitions and local business groups.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure seamless delivery of events and guest experiences.
- Manage marketing budgets and deliver measurable return on investment.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in hotel sales and marketing, preferably within a four-star hotel.
- A proven track record of increasing revenue and developing new business.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong digital marketing knowledge, including social media and email marketing.
- Experience of CRM systems and hotel booking platforms.
- The ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive, energetic and customer-focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence would be an advantage.
