Job Overview
We are looking for a part-time evening Office Cleaning Manager to manage and supervise our cleaning team, working weekday evenings between 5 - 7pm, Monday to Thursday.
The Office Cleaning Manager will oversee and manage a team of 10 cleaners, who clean our office workspaces and kitchens each evening, at locations in Guildford and Woking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the cleaning team day-to-day, providing management support, across all cleaning operations, helping to solve problems and raise standards.
- Manage absences and holidays with stand-in cleaners, and occasionally take on shifts yourself when cover is needed.
- Approving cleaners weekly hours and timesheets for salary payments.
- Be responsible for cleaning Health & Safety standards.
- Manage cleaning performance and quality monitoring.
- Provide training, guidance and performance improvement where necessary.
- Manage cleaning supplies, inventory and storage, distribution, organising purchasing of new stocks and supplies with our management team.
Manage Cleaning Standards
- Ensure that offices and kitchens are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Carry out regular inspections to identify areas needing attention.
- implement and maintain cleaning procedures and protocols .
- Identify and organise additional deep cleaning as needed.
Manage Inventory and Supplies
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Request additional supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and distribution of products to each kitchen.
Manage Health, Safety & CoHHS
- Oversee and manage cleaning regulatory compliance, ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Be responsible and manage all COHHS requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment.
- Report any hazards or safety concerns.
About You
You will have excellent experience of cleaning management, managing staff and cleaning inventory.
You will be familiar with modern cleaning standards and regulatory compliance.
You will have good people skills and understand the importance of balanced people management, being supportive to staff, but also able to manage quality standards and performance.
You will live within an easy commute to Woking and Guildford, with a full driving licence and use of a car.
What We Offer:
This is a part-time role between 5pm - 7pm, Monday - Thursday. However, additional hours will be required to manage one-off projects or unexpected events.
