THE ROLE
This is a permanent role, working as a key member of the schools business team reporting to the Business Manager to ensure full compliance in areas of Health and Safety, food hygiene, fire safety, Educational Visits, school website, GDPR and other regulatory requirements. The role involves line managing both the in-house Catering and Cleaning Teams, working closely with the Catering and Site Managers.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, compassion, energy, and the ability to contribute to the work of a very successful team. The successful candidate needs to have excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. They must be able to use judgment to deal with daily unforeseen problems, with limited guidance but within established and known procedures.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent at Grade 4/C or above in both Maths and English
Essential Experience
- Can demonstrate in their current role, the capacity to work effectively with a range of people at a professional level
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to relate well to school staff, pupils, and external agencies
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel with excellent keyboard skills
- Able to use IT effectively and efficiently
- Ability to read /review / amend policies
Desirable Experience
- Experience of supervising staff, with the ability to delegate
Has experience of working in or with schools
