Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, excellent customer service, and maintaining the highest safety standards.

The Role

As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and commissioning of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

Service and maintain fire alarm systems
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
Install and commission fire detection and alarm systems
Complete routine inspections and testing
Ensure all work complies with current British Standards and regulations
Produce accurate service reports and documentation
Provide professional support and advice to clients on-site
Participate in an on-call rota where required

Requirements

Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer
Good knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment
Understanding of BS 5839 standards
Full UK driving licence
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

Security system experience beneficial, including intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control
FIA units or equivalent fire industry qualifications
ECS/CSCS card
Experience with systems such as Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, or Kentec

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
