Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across various commercial and residential sites. Duties
- Install, service, and repair gas appliances, boilers, and associated systems in compliance with current regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing and gas systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to assemble, modify, or repair components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical knowledge and basic maths to determine solutions.
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely and efficiently.
- Carry out pipework installation and repairs in both commercial and domestic environments.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for client documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing fixtures or mechanical components as required.
- Operate commercial vehicles responsibly for site visits or material transportation.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing, gas engineering, or related mechanical trades.
- Demonstrable skills in welding, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, gas regulations, and safety procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to system installations or repairs.
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks and physical work environments is preferred.
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Prior experience with assembly work or working on construction sites will be considered an asset.
