Role Overview
As a Junior CAD & CAFM Support Specialist,you will play a vital role in maintaining the digital and physical integrity ofthe clients Broughton site . Working directly within the Space Management Team,you will be responsible for ensuring our site layouts are accurate, our spacedata is current, and our facilities management systems are optimized to supporta world-class manufacturing environment.
This is a hybrid role, offering a balance of three days on-site for hands-on surveying and team collaboration, with two daysof remote work focused on technical drawing and data management.
Key Responsibilities
CAD Management: Update and maintain masterarchitectural floor plans using AutoCAD, ensuring all modifications to the siteare reflected in the global database.
CAFM Administration : Act as a key user for the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM)system, linking CAD polylines to database records to track departmental spaceallocation and occupancy.
Test Fit Drawings : Produce \"test fit\" layouts and feasibility studies to helpstakeholders visualize how teams or equipment can be integrated into existingspaces.
On-site Surveying : Conduct physical site walkthroughs and surveys to verify that\"as-built\" conditions match our digital records, identifyingdiscrepancies in partitions, furniture, or utility points.
Drawing Management : Organize and archive technical documentation, ensuring version control ismaintained across all site projects.
Stakeholder Support : Assist the Space Management team in generating reports on spaceutilization and capacity planning for departmental heads.
Technical Requirements
Essential AutoCAD Skills: A strong,demonstrable background in AutoCAD is mandatory. You should be proficient inlayering, XRefs, blocks, and scaling.
CAFM Knowledge : Previous experience working within a CAFM-based system (such as Archibus,Tririga, etc) is highly desirable.
Surveying Ability : Comfortable using laser measures and traditional surveying techniques tocapture site data accurately.
Design Accuracy : Akeen eye for detail with the ability to translate complex physical environmentsinto clean, standardized digital drawings.
Personal Attributes
Adaptability: Comfortable moving between ahigh-tech office environment and a busy manufacturing shop floor.
Communication : Ability to explain technical drawing constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
Organization : Strong time-management skills to handle multiple drawing requestssimultaneously while meeting project deadlines
