Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Steak Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering high-quality grilled steaks and related dishes. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking steaks to perfection, ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional meal presentation and taste.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook steaks to specified customer preferences using appropriate grilling techniques
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in meal preparation for various dishes, maintaining consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Serve dishes promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Experience
- Proven experience as a Steak Grill Chef or similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
- Experience in culinary techniques specific to grilling and meat preparation
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and hygiene standards in a professional kitchen environment
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering service is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
