About Us:
Natural Stone Surfaces are a leading manufacturer and fabricator of stone work surfaces, specialising in granite, marble, quartz, and ultra-compact surfaces. Using high-quality materials from brands such as Silestone, Caesarstone, and Dekton, we produce a wide range of architectural claddings, bathroom, and kitchen work surfaces. With over 20 years of experience and advanced computer-controlled machinery, we deliver precision and quality across the UK.

The Role:
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Yard Worker to support our Driffield facility. This role combines yard duties with vehicle delivery responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations and efficient delivery of materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain safe working practices at all times.
Manage internal stock levels, ensuring correct materials are available for production.
Load and unload materials, including A-frames and finished goods, using an overhead crane (training provided if required).
Label, locate, and inspect remnants and finished goods for quality and fit for purpose.
Prepare stock for delivery and ensure correct items are loaded onto the appropriate vehicles.
Record and transfer remnant materials and damaged inventory appropriately.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the yard, storage areas, and vehicles.
Support other team members once yard duties are complete.

Requirements:

Experience with forklift trucks (desirable) – training can be provided.
Experience operating overhead cranes (desirable).
Physically fit and capable of hands-on manual work.
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable team player.
Strong verbal and numerical skills; able to communicate effectively.
Flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake overtime/weekend work if required.
