About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA & Regulatory Assistant to support our commitment to Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring we meet customer expectations, legal requirements, and external accreditation standards.
You’ll work closely with the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Manager to maintain and improve our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring we remain compliant and audit-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System
- Assist in implementing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Apply HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP principles in daily operations
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure compliance
- Conduct internal audits, system audits, and hygiene swabbing
- Maintain and update QA documentation (SOPs, cleaning records, process forms)
- Support external audits and prepare required documentation
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances
- Respond to technical queries from customers and stakeholders
- Work with suppliers to obtain and maintain accurate technical information
Regulatory Compliance
- Support regulatory and certification audits
- Ensure labelling complies with current regulations
- Liaise with external bodies and accreditation organisations
- Maintain and update third-party platforms and compliance systems
- Monitor and review policies to ensure legal compliance
- Support regulatory aspects of projects
General Responsibilities
- Deliver training and guidance to colleagues where required
- Keep up to date with industry regulations and best practice
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively across departments
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health & Safety
About YouSkills & Experience
- Experience in a QA or regulatory role within food manufacturing (or similar regulated industry)
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety Standard
- Understanding of HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP principles
- Auditing experience (internal and/or external)
- Knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements
