Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a stainless steel TIG Welder/Fabricator . This role involves working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment, specialising in welding and assembly tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the creation and maintenance of high-quality metal components, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in fabrication processes, with opportunities for professional growth within the organisation.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily stainless steel.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or sub-assemblies.
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using simple maths to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in sheet metal work.
- Knowledge of welding principles, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and fabrication methods.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes.
- Previous experience working with sheet metal
