Job Title: Weighbridge Operator

Location: Envar Cambridge, Heathtops, The Heath, Woodhurst, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28 3BS

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Permanent, Full time

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 6am - 3pm Mon-Friday and 7am-12pm on alternate Saturdays

About Us:

Envar is a producer and supplier of high quality soil improver, woodland garden mulch, wood chip and biomass. We operate green waste composting sites across England with sites in Surrey, Northamptonshire, West London, Essex, Kent and Suffolk as well as our flagship site in Cambridgeshire where we also process food waste. In addition to composting Envar also recycle coffee grounds.

About the role:

Envar are looking for a Weighbridge Operator to ensure the smooth operation of the Weighbridge facility and act as a point of contact for customers. Responsible for ensuring that all legal obligations and regulations are met.

Responsibilities:

Â· Direct traffic coming onto site and operate weighbridge.

Â· Acquaint yourself with the Wastemetrix operating system for operating the weighbridge.

Â· Accurately record weights & waste type by vehicle, completing appropriate documentation and collect driver signatures etc.

Â· Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.

Â· Report any anomalies/errors to the weighbridge system to the appropriate people immediately.

Â· Ensure that the waste yardage report is correct, and changes are correct.

Â· Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors, face to face and electronically (by phone or email).

Â· Ensure weighbridge customers are aware of site rules and distribute information and guidance accordingly.

Â· Ensure that vehicles delivering to the site have the correct paperwork and EWC codes.

Â· Assist with general administrative duties and customer service, answering the telephone and directing calls as appropriate.

Â· Report health & safety issues immediately to management.

About you:

Essentials:

Â· Intermediate level MS Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook

Â· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Â· Ability to multitask and have good attention to detail

Â· Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude to others

Â· Demonstrate teamwork and support of others

Â· Versatility and willingness to learn

Â· Previous experience in a busy administrative role

Â· Experience of dealing with external customers

Â· GCSE grade A-C level education

Desirable:

Â· Previous experience working in a Weighbridge office environment

Â· Previous experience working in the Waste Industry
