Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individual in thier home and within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to delivering person-centred care. Previous experience in care settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Duties

Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Supporting clients to maintain independence and dignity in their routines
Preparing and serving meals in accordance with individual care plans
Assisting with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalised care
Adhering to health and safety policies, including infection control procedures
Contributing to a warm, respectful environment that promotes client comfort and well-being

Qualifications

Experience working within home care environment is desirable but not mandatory
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating care plans
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
