Bid Coordinator

Location: Mansfield (Office Based)
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 DOE + Benefits

About Miller Knight

At Miller Knight, we're specialists in passive fire protection, refurbishment and building compliance, delivering projects that make buildings safer across the UK.

We're growing, which means we're looking for a Bid Coordinator to join our team. This is a varied role that combines bid writing, tender coordination and marketing, making it ideal for someone who enjoys writing, being organised, creating engaging content and working across multiple projects.

Whilst the job title is Bid Coordinator, this isn't solely a bids position. You'll also play a key role in supporting our marketing activity by creating case studies, project content, social media updates and maintaining our marketing materials. If you enjoy both winning work and showcasing it afterwards, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Role

Working closely with our Regeneration Director and wider business, you'll coordinate tender submissions from start to finish, ensuring every response is professional, compliant and submitted on time.

Alongside this, you'll help promote the fantastic work we're delivering by creating marketing content, updating company literature and supporting our online presence.

No two days will be the same.

Key Responsibilities

Bid Coordination

Monitor tender portals for new opportunities.
Review tender documents, PQQs, SQs, EOIs and ITTs.
Coordinate bid programmes and manage submission deadlines.
Develop high-quality, compelling tender responses.
Gather information from departments across the business.
Produce clear, persuasive and compliant bid documents.
Create and maintain a library of bid content, case studies and supporting information.
Ensure submissions meet all client requirements, formatting and deadlines.
Submit tenders via online portals.
Capture lessons learnt and continuously improve future submissions.

Marketing & Communications

Marketing is a key part of this role. You'll help ensure Miller Knight is professionally represented across all marketing channels by:
Creating engaging project case studies.
Producing content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
Planning marketing around project milestones, awards and community initiatives.
Maintaining brochures, capability statements and marketing collateral.
Working with project teams to capture photography, project updates and success stories.
Ensuring all marketing materials reflect the Miller Knight brand, services and values.
Supporting the creation of graphics, process diagrams and presentation material for both bids and marketing.

Collaboration

Work closely with Directors, Estimating and Operational teams.
Coordinate information from subject matter experts.
Manage internal deadlines to ensure high-quality submissions.
Build strong relationships across the business.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, creative and enjoys both writing and coordinating multiple projects.

Ideally you'll have experience in:

Bid coordination, bid writing or tender management.
Marketing or communications.
Producing professional written content.
Microsoft Office.
Managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Working within construction, refurbishment, fire protection or a related industry (desirable but not essential).

Most importantly, you'll be proactive, detail-focused and enjoy working collaboratively with different teams.
