About Us:

Access XL are seeking a Draughtsman to join our group engineering team in our Forfar facility. If you're passionate about mechanical design, implementing and executing engineering projects, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilise SolidWorks to create, modify, and enhance designs and drawings, adhering to Access XL's established processes.
Develop and update designs, fabrication drawings, product packages, and comprehensive product documentation, including user and fitting manuals, as well as schedule and test plans for our diverse range of products.
Work in conjunction with suppliers to specify components and parts, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Liaise effectively with our production team to streamline the manufacturing process for optimum efficiency.
Take ownership of designing and managing drawings for multiple projects concurrently.
Maintain strict adherence to Access XL's company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

A degree in engineering design and manufacture or relevant industry experience.
Proficiency in drafting skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge or prior experience in manufacturing processes and materials is highly desired.
Excellent command of Microsoft Word and Excel for effective documentation and reporting.
Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, and an exceptional communicator.
Thrives in a collaborative team environment and is a quick learner with exceptional multitasking abilities.
