Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and kitchen management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure food safety standards are met, and maintain the smooth running of all kitchen activities. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of food production, team management, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff, including cooks, KPs and service personnel, ensuring efficient team management.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality standards are consistently met.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in accordance with food safety regulations.
Implement and monitor hygiene practices to uphold health and safety standards within the kitchen environment.
Develop menus in collaboration with the management team, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining operational feasibility.
Train new staff members on food safety procedures, cooking techniques, and customer service expectations.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health regulations, and company policies at all times.
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to optimise workflow and minimise waste.
Handle customer feedback professionally to resolve any issues promptly and effectively.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety standards.
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
Excellent food preparation and cooking skills across various cuisines.
Extensive kitchen experience including menu development, inventory control, and operational management.
Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
Knowledge of hospitality industry practices and restaurant operations.
Effective communication skills for liaising with staff, suppliers, and customers.
Ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety at all times.

This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to lead a vibrant team while ensuring exceptional standards of quality and service are maintained across all aspects of the kitchen operation.

Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour
