PART-TIME VIEWING CONSULTANT & BOOKINGS ADVISOR
3–4 days per week, including at least one weekend day and at least one evening
Bartley Portrait Studios is looking for a confident, personable and detail-focused individual to join our friendly, established team in this newly created part-time role.
This unique position combines two key areas of our business: guiding families through their portrait viewing experience in our dedicated viewing room and handling incoming bookings and enquiries over the phone. It is the perfect opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, loves building relationships and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service from the very first enquiry through to helping clients choose artwork they'll treasure for generations.
About Bartley Portrait Studios
Bartley Portrait Studios is an award-winning family portrait studio based in the heart of Warrington. For over 20 years, we have specialised in creating beautiful, timeless portraits for families at every stage of life, from newborn babies and young children through to multi-generation family portraits.
We are known for our warm, personal approach and the exceptional quality of our finished artwork, creating bespoke framed wall portraits designed to become treasured family heirlooms. Every experience we offer is relaxed, carefully considered and tailored to each individual family.
Due to continued growth, we are excited to introduce this brand-new role for someone who enjoys building rapport, understanding people's needs and helping them make confident decisions they'll be delighted with for years to come.
The Role
Working closely with our photographers and studio team, you will host pre-booked viewing appointments where families return to see their finished portraits for the very first time.
Each viewing begins with a beautifully presented cinematic slideshow before moving into a relaxed, one-to-one consultation. Your role is to guide clients through their images, understand their home, style and budget, and help them invest in the artwork and products that are perfect for their family.
No two appointments are ever the same. Every family, every home and every collection of portraits is unique, making this an incredibly varied and rewarding role. One appointment may involve designing a striking gallery wall for a growing family, while the next could be helping grandparents choose a meaningful gift for future generations.
Alongside your viewing appointments, you'll also manage incoming telephone enquiries and bookings, ensuring every interaction reflects the warm, professional standards that Bartley Portrait Studios has become known for.
This role blends consultative sales, outstanding customer service and a touch of interior styling, all within a creative and rewarding environment.
Salary & Bonus
We offer a competitive hourly rate together with a rewarding performance-related team bonus structure. Salary and bonus arrangements will be discussed based on your experience and skill set.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who naturally enjoys talking to people and making them feel comfortable. You'll be confident without being pushy, organised, approachable and genuinely passionate about helping people make decisions they'll feel excited about.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a customer service, retail or consultative sales role.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- A warm, confident and professional manner both face-to-face and over the phone.
- The ability to explain products clearly and confidently without using high-pressure sales techniques.
- Excellent organisation, administration and basic IT skills.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- A positive, enthusiastic and well-presented approach.
- A genuine interest in photography, interiors, design or other creative industries.
Experience within premium retail, furniture, kitchens, jewellery, bridal, travel, estate agency or other customer-focused sales environments would be particularly welcomed, although it's your personality, attitude and ability to connect with people that matter most.
You'll become part of a small, supportive and passionate team where every day is different. You'll meet wonderful families, celebrate some of life's most special moments and play an important role in helping people preserve memories they'll treasure forever.
