Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauté stations
- Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated section at all times
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or issues promptly
- Support training of junior kitchen staff and trainees as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential
