Full job description

aes renewables is a trusted leader in renewable energy solutions, with over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality, reliable systems. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of renewable energy projects. Working closely with Project Managers and internal departments, you will coordinate project activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure projects progress efficiently from handover through to completion.

You will be responsible for managing smaller projects independently while supporting Project Managers on larger and more complex installations. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where your contribution will directly support the continued growth and success of the business.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for coordinating smaller, less complex projects from sales handover through to installation and commissioning, while also supporting Project Managers with larger installations. You will help ensure projects are prepared accurately, progressed efficiently, and delivered in line with company expectations, customer requirements, and operational priorities.

Working closely with Project Managers, Scheduling, Technical, Operations, and Administration teams, you will play an important role in maintaining project momentum, keeping records accurate, and ensuring customers are informed throughout the delivery process.

WORKING HOURS

Standard working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, although flexibility may occasionally be required to meet project and customer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage smaller customer projects from design sign-off through to installation and commissioning
Track project progress and maintain accurate records within job management software and other internal systems
Confirm project readiness before handover to the Scheduling team
Keep customers informed at key stages of the project and provide clear, professional updates
Support Project Managers with documentation and administration on larger or more complex projects
Identify and escalate delays, risks, or missing information at an early stage
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all required documentation and approvals are in place
Ensure project information is complete, accurate, and available to the relevant teams
Support smooth project handover and delivery by working closely with internal stakeholders
Help maintain compliance with health and safety requirements throughout project delivery
Represent aes professionally in all customer and internal interactions
Follow all aes policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Contribute positively to the company culture and values of Brilliant, Consistent, Calm, and Grounded
Carry out other reasonable duties that support the goals of aes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Project Support, or similar role
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate project records and documentation
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
Experience coordinating activities across multiple departments and managing competing priorities
Ability to identify issues, take initiative, and proactively support project delivery
Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
Experience using job management, CRM, project management, or similar business systems
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team
Professional, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain organised in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to health, safety, quality, and company procedures
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

Experience within the construction, engineering, utilities, or renewable energy sectors
Knowledge of project delivery processes from sales handover through to installation and commissioning
Qualification in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects
Familiarity with planning, scheduling, or project management software
Understanding of project-related health and safety requirements
Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders
