Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Centre Technician / Keyholder to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and operational efficiency of the centre while serving as a keyholder with access to essential areas. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth daily operations, assist visitors and team members, and uphold the high standards of our facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills and take ownership of important responsibilities within a vibrant environment.

Duties

Open and close the centre securely, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
Assist with general maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools, including minor repairs and adjustments
Support with heavy lifting activities for equipment or supplies, following proper safety procedures
Monitor security systems such as CCTV and alarm systems to safeguard the facility
Provide excellent customer service by guiding visitors and responding to their inquiries
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and maintenance logs

Requirements

Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks regularly
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Reliable with a proactive attitude towards security and maintenance duties
Previous experience in a technical or facilities role is preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently as a keyholder, managing opening and closing procedures confidently
