Job Overview
Rest Your Head is looking for a capable, energetic and handy person with a can-do attitude, to get our superb properties ready for discerning guests and to ensure that they are blown away by how well we keep on top of every little thing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs and to work with us to assess the diary, figure out best times to get jobs done, grab what's needed for the jobs and get it sorted. The ideal person would be someone who likes solving problems and figuring stuff out. We of course will supply whatever needed to get the job done.

This could be anything from a bit of touch up paint, re-doing some silicone in a shower, fixing up some blinds, swapping out a tap, repairing a bed.... You don't need a complete set of your own tools and we do have them if needed but you're welcome to use your own if you've got them and you prefer that. We will of course cover all materials and we do have a car you can make use of too.

Duties

Wear a Rest Your Head uniform when working
Work closely with our team to put issues right and independently keep on top of the job list.
Perform repairs safely and with good attention to detail. We're looking for good quality repairs and jobs done well, so attention to detail is a must.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Assist in supervising junior staff or apprentices when necessary
Occasionally assist with tip runs where required (we can provide a vehicle for this)
Deliver excellent customer service where required

Skills

Someone who takes real pride in their work and loves to do a job well that will last.
Keen to learn how to solve new problems and learn new skills.
Able to manage own diary and update the job list, occasionally liaising with other tradespeople and suppliers too.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Strong time management skills to ensure efficient completion of duties
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and move things around as needed
Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers
