As a Paint Sprayer you will be responsible for a variety of functions including managing jobs that are scheduled for spraying in a well planned manner, ensuring you have everything required to keep good work flow and assistance with stock levels and waste management.
Sprayers Duties & tasks are to include the following:
- Work towards understanding different paint colours, standards required, application and maintaining equipment.
- Ensure all surfaces are prepared & free of grease, dirt and dust before painting to achieve the Paint finish required.
- Observe experienced sprayer using different coatings and quality of finish to be achieved.
- Prepare, rub down & de-nib timber ready for painting
- Touch up any defective areas of painted items
- Apply masking tape correctly when spraying two-tone paint or unpainted areas.
- Move work in & out of spray shop
- Keep spray shop clean & tidy
- Change spray-shop filters under the observation of the paint sprayer
- Clean nozzles, containers and hoses of machines.
- Maintain stock levels of standard paint colours, including primer and Westbury white
- Check paint received/delivered.
- Ensure there are sufficient consumable products required; masking tape, cotton rage, thinners, filters etc.
- Ensure you follow current health & safety requirements: wearing ear defenders, goggles, masks & gloves where applicable
Requirements
- Experienced in paint spraying would be beneficial but training can be given.
- Have knowledge of and experience using water-based paints and pre cat lacquers and paint.
- Candidate will be required to follow health and safety requirements; wearing breathing apparatus, ear defenders, goggles and gloves where applicable.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
