As the new season is here, AB Systems (UK) Ltd are looking to expand their team through further recruitments. We require an Agricultural Machinery Operative capable of working independently and/or in a small team throughout England/Wales. Full ‘in-house’ training will be given on use of specialist plant and agricultural machinery.
We travel from farm to farm throughout England and Wales putting farmers feeds into Ag-Bags, we use lorries/low loaders to move our machines and most of our work is away from home. We are the biggest Ag-Bag contractor in Europe and have the best machines available, these are great to use and don't take to long to learn the operation (usually 2-6 months depending on experience)
Anyone who has worked for an agricultural contractor normally will take to our work very well.
- Applicants must have a full driving licence and be willing to work away from home
- Full time role
- Agricultural background
- Anyone who also has a HGV license and agricultural background would be perfect but HGV license is not essential
- Mechanical background also would be a very good thing
During off season you will be based at our yard mainly carrying out maintenance on the machines, although we are doing more and more work through the winter.
- Hourly rate, based upon experience, to be discussed at interview
- Basic 40 hour week with extra hours as contracts require (can be up to 65-100 hours per week)
- £30 paid for nights away from home
- 28 days annual leave including bank holiday
- Food and travel paid for when away from home
- Company van supplied
AB Systems (UK) Ltd is a small family run business and have been running Agricultural Bagging machines for over 30 years. Our workshop/yard is near Okehampton in Devon, ideally would need to be within commutable distance from there.
