Retail Sales Supervisor – Millers Homewares, Frome

15 hours per week – Thursday & Friday - plus flexibility for additional days (inc. 4-5 Sundays per year)

Millers are seeking a Retail Sales Supervisor – Ideally someone with an interest in cooking, baking, styling, knitting or DIY and a desire to share their knowledge with customers. This role is for 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) with a Sunday rota (4/5 Sundays per year) and occasional Saturdays to cover annual leave or sickness .

The Retail Sales Supervisor

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Shop Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be a keyholder and support the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, strong team performance, and efficient operations.

Supervise and support retail staff
Deliver outstanding customer service and handle customer queries or complaints
Assist with staff training, development, and performance management
Ensure the shop floor is well-presented and fully stocked
Handle cash management, including tills and opening / end-of-day procedures (including shop security)
Maintain health and safety standards within the store

The Retail Sales Advisor Essentials

Previous experience in a retail supervisory or senior sales role is essential.

Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends

Please note that lifting and carrying of heavy boxes and garden furniture will be required.
