Full job description

Studio Art and Frame have a vacancy for a Retail Assistant to work in our busy town centre art and framing gallery.

This role will see you working for one of the largest independent art retailers in the region selling a mix of artwork, memorabilia, giftware, art materials and ready made picture frames alongside our comprehensive bespoke framing service.

This position would suit someone with some customer facing retail experience looking to join a forward thinking and ambitious retailer. Knowledge of art is not essential, a can do attitude and willingness to learn is what we look for in our staff.

The position will involve working a base contract of 7.5 hours per week on a rota basis. Additional hours will be available to cover staff holidays, absence and busy trading periods.

Due to the nature of our business this position will involve weekend work and a flexible attitude to your working hours is required. Hours in this position will cover our opening hours of 9.00-5.30, Monday to Saturday and occasional Sundays. For this reason it would not suit candidates currently in full time education.
