Retail Sales Consultant – Luxury Jewellery

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Retail Sales Consultant to join our luxury jewellery and watch boutique in the heart of York's historic Shambles.
Representing some of the world's most prestigious jewellery brands, alongside our own exclusive collections, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences in a luxury retail environment.
About the Role
As a key member of our boutique team, you will provide a personalised and memorable shopping experience for our customers, building strong relationships and guiding them in selecting pieces that celebrate life's most special moments.
Working in one of York's most iconic retail destinations, you will take pride in maintaining the highest standards of presentation, customer service and product knowledge.
What We're Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who possess:
- Previous retail sales experience, ideally within luxury goods, jewellery, watches, fashion or premium retail
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- A professional, confident and approachable manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
- Good computer literacy and administration skills
- A smart and professional appearance
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Qualifications
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
- Experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in visual merchandising and stock management
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Polished phone etiquette with professional demeanour at all times
- Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining high levels of customer service
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
