E-commerce Sales Administrator
Location: York (approximately 10 minutes' walk from York Railway Station)
Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented E-commerce & Sales Administrator to join our York-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Amazon, eBay or Shopify experience to play a key role in a growing e-commerce business, with genuine opportunities for development and career progression.
The Role
As an E-commerce & Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for managing our online sales channels, including Amazon, eBay and Shopify, ensuring product listings are accurate, engaging and up to date.
This is a varied and hands-on role combining e-commerce administration, marketplace management, customer service, product content management and sales support. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to help deliver an excellent customer experience and support continued online sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
E-commerce & Marketplace Management
- Manage and maintain product listings through Amazon Seller Central, eBay Seller Hub, Shopify and other online sales platforms.
- Create new product listings and update existing listings, ensuring all information is accurate, engaging and up to date.
- Write compelling product descriptions and maintain product content.
- Monitor and update stock levels, pricing and product information across all platforms.
- Ensure consistency of product data, imagery and branding across all sales channels.
- Assist with new product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor marketplace performance and identify opportunities to improve online sales.
- Maintain excellent standards across all online sales channels.
Shopify Website Administration
- Manage products, collections and content within Shopify.
- Ensure website information, pricing and promotional content remain accurate and current.
- Create and update website content, collections and promotional banners where required.
- Assist with website merchandising, product presentation and promotional campaigns to help maximise online sales.
Product Photography, Content & Social Media
- Take high-quality photographs of products for use across ecommerce platforms and marketing materials.
- Organise and maintain product imagery libraries.
- Assist with creating content for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and other digital channels.
- Create simple product-focused photos and videos to support new product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Help maintain a consistent brand image across ecommerce and social media platforms.
Customer Service
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries across all online sales channels.
- Handle customer issues, returns and refund requests in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain positive marketplace feedback ratings and high customer service standards.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally.
Sales Administration
- Provide administrative support to the sales team.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer communications.
- Assist with reporting and general administrative duties as required.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience using Amazon Seller Central, eBay Seller Hub and/or Shopify.
- Has experience creating and managing ecommerce product listings.
- Possesses excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and online business systems.
- Can work independently and use initiative.
- Has a positive, proactive and can-do attitude.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience using Amazon Seller Central.
- Previous experience using eBay Seller Hub.
- Experience managing products and content within Shopify.
- Experience creating product listings, including product descriptions and imagery.
- Experience working within ecommerce, online retail or marketplace sales.
Experience with product photography, image editing, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram content creation would be advantageous but is not essential.
