We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills , willing to work flexibly within the Maternity Delivery Suite setting .

Your Responsibilities:
Provide personalised care under the guidance of midwives and the delivery suite coordinator ‍ ️ .

Assist with:
Personal hygiene & toileting
Continence aids & catheter care
Measuring output & specimen collection
Moving, handling & mobility support
Patient positioning & safety
Monitoring and observing patients

You will also support the productive operation of the birth environment by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized space .

Main duties of the job

Provide Personalised Care: Deliver high-quality, tailored care in line with local and national standards .
Professional Representation: Present a positive image of yourself, the team , and the organisation .
Sample Collection: Take patient samples (urine, sputum, faeces, MRSA swabs) for testing or dispatch.
Nutrition Support: Assist patients with nutritional needs ️ , following their individual care plans.
Patient Safety: Maintain safety by adhering to health, safety, and security guidelines ✅ .
Care Standards: Support high standards of care to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
Equality in Care: Promote equality by respecting and meeting individual needs and choices.
Clean Environment: Contribute to a safe, clean, and productive care environment , meeting hygiene standards.
Effective Communication: Share relevant information with Registered Midwives professionally and promptly.
Continuous Development: Maintain and develop your own skills and competence .
Issue Resolution: Actively address issues and complaints ️ locally, and report outcomes to your line manage

Recognise and report changes in mother or baby’s condition , including concerns raised by women or families, to the midwife in charge.
Communicate effectively with the clinical team , promoting well-being and positive outcomes for mothers and babies.

Clinical Practice & Safety

Ensure clinical practice is safe and appropriate at all times ️ , performing relevant clinical skills and acting within your competence.
Maintain a safe, clean, and productive care environment , adhering to hygiene and infection control standards.
Manage and prioritise your workload ⏳ , responding appropriately to urgent or emergency situations .

Professional Development & Supervision

Participate in regular supervision and appraisals, actively pursuing learning and development opportunities .
