Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Front of House team at Kingsknowes Hotel as a full-time Duty Manager.

This is a hands-on role that would suit an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused individual with previous hospitality experience. As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring our guests receive outstanding service while supporting the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Opening and closing the hotel.
Cash handling and end-of-day procedures.
Supervising the bar and restaurant operation.
Managing the day-to-day running of the hotel during your shift.
Assisting with hotel reservations and guest enquiries.
Operating our Property Management System (PMS) and managing bookings across online travel agents (OTAs).
Carrying out general office and administrative duties.
Leading, motivating and supporting the Front of House team to deliver excellent customer service.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment is essential.
Previous supervisory or management experience is desirable.
Administration or back-of-house experience would be an advantage.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Hours

Approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
