Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Assistant/Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Support the team in meal assembly, plating, and presentation to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising work surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Help with food safety compliance by adhering to hygiene standards and proper storage procedures.
- Prepare ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods, including chopping vegetables and measuring ingredients.
- Support catering functions by preparing large quantities of food as required.
- Serve food to customers in a professional and friendly manner when necessary.
- Assist with stock control, including receiving deliveries and organising storage areas efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Basic skills in meal preparation and food presentation.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in a busy culinary setting.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
