Full job description

Saltire Hospitality is a family-owned and family-run event catering company, delivering exceptional hospitality at some of Scotland's finest weddings, corporate events, private functions, and sporting occasions.

Thanks to continued growth and an exciting pipeline of events, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations across a variety of events including weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and sporting events.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate, ambitious business where no two days are the same and where you'll play a key role in delivering unforgettable events across Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing bar staff, maintaining stock levels, ensuring licensing compliance, introducing new innovations and overseeing the smooth operation of bars at events of all sizes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of bar operations before, during, and after events.
Recruit, train, brief, and supervise bar staff.
Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
Manage stock ordering, stock control, and stock reconciliation.
Oversee bar setup, presentation, and breakdown.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and Challenge 25 policies.
Maintain health and safety standards across all bar operations.
Manage cash handling and card payment procedures.
Work closely with event managers, clients, venues, and suppliers to ensure successful event delivery.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager, or Senior Supervisor.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
Personal Licence Holder
Knowledge of Scottish licensing regulations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
