Community Engagement Assistant
£11,190.40 (£25,877.80 FTE)
16 hours per week (including some weekends, bank holidays and evenings)

As a charitable organisation, The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens seeks to welcome everyone to come and enjoy their beautiful gardens and historic buildings.

This exciting position will work alongside the Community Engagement Manager to support and develop community engagement at The Bishop’s Palace. The role will lead on the administration of the volunteers and community groups engaged with the site. You will be involved in volunteer recruitment, training and support. You will also assist with creating and developing links with local people and groups to foster their engagement with The Bishop’s Palace though a variety of activities. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the benefits of volunteering and working with community groups with great administration skills.

As our ideal candidate you should:

Have experience of working with different community groups and volunteers
Administrative and customer service skills
Have experience in providing training
Have a passion for the benefits of volunteering and working with disadvantaged communities.
