Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
Contract: Key Account Network
Location: Leeds, LS2 7UA - with regional travel
Hours of work: 41.25 - Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to play a key role in helping ISS achieve its ambition of becoming the world’s greatest service organisation.
By delivering expert Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and building maintenance services, this role directly supports client operations and outcomes through high-quality technical delivery and collaboration.
Job Description
We are looking for a professional who can confidently carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a mobile portfolio, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframes.
The role covers West Yorkshire through to the coast (Scarborough) and includes the use of a company-provided van.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver AC and refrigeration-biased PPM, proactive and reactive works via the helpdesk within set timeframes.
- Inspect, repair, modify and install refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including compressors, chillers and system controls.
- Carry out regular preventative maintenance inspections and undertake required adjustments or repairs.
- Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective parts such as thermostats, switches, motors, compressors, heat exchangers and controls.
- Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, filters, bearings, valves, gaskets and associated components.
- Maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems across commercial and retail environments.
- Undertake other building services maintenance tasks, including HVAC, mechanical and fabric-related works.
- Work in line with strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in air conditioning, refrigeration or HVAC-related building services maintenance.
- Experience delivering both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Background working within FM or building services in commercial properties.
- Strong fault-finding, maintenance and installation capability.
- Experience working under strict Health & Safety procedures.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 equivalent and
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in one of the following:
Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems
Heating and Ventilation
Heating and Ventilation Service & Maintenance
- IPAF and/or PASMA.
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided).

- Mobile role covering West Yorkshire through to the coast (Scarborough).
