About the Role
As our Community Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of the building.
You'll lead the day-to-day resident experience, ensuring every student receives an exceptional level of customer service whilst supporting the General Manager with the smooth operation of the property.
This is an incredibly varied role where no two days are ever the same. One minute you'll be welcoming new residents and delivering property tours, the next you'll be planning an exciting wellbeing event, supporting a resident who needs help, coaching your front-of-house team or working with local universities to strengthen our community partnerships.
You'll be responsible for creating an environment where students genuinely feel at home.
What You'll Be DoingCreating an Exceptional Resident Experience
You'll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service throughout every stage of the resident journey.
This includes:
- Welcoming prospective and existing residents with warmth and professionalism.
- Building meaningful relationships with students throughout their stay.
- Supporting residents during arrivals, departures and everything in between.
- Handling enquiries, concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the resident experience through feedback and engagement.
- Supporting residents with wellbeing initiatives and signposting additional support where appropriate.
- Ensuring every resident interaction reflects the Fusion brand and values.
Bringing the Community to Life
Community is at the heart of everything we do.
You'll lead the planning, organisation and delivery of an exciting annual events calendar that encourages students to connect, socialise and make the most of their university experience.
This includes:
- Wellbeing campaigns
- Cultural celebrations
- Seasonal events
- Social activities
- Charity initiatives
- Welcome and induction events
- Exam wellbeing programmes
- Resident competitions
- Community partnerships
You'll also work closely with local universities, student unions and community organisations to build meaningful relationships that enhance the student experience.
Supporting Property Operations
Working alongside the General Manager, you'll help ensure the building operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting daily operational activities.
- Conducting regular visual inspections of the property.
- Reporting maintenance, housekeeping and safety issues.
- Assisting with compliance documentation.
- Supporting fire safety procedures and evacuation drills.
- Coordinating contractor access.
- Helping maintain exceptional presentation standards across the building.
- Supporting move-in and move-out periods.
Leading the Front of House Team
As Community Manager, you'll play an important role in developing and supporting the Concierge team.
You'll:
- Lead by example.
- Coach and motivate colleagues.
- Support onboarding and training.
- Provide regular feedback.
- Create a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Help build a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
Driving Occupancy & Commercial Success
The Community Manager also plays a key role in supporting the property's commercial performance.
You'll:
- Deliver engaging property tours.
- Convert enquiries into bookings.
- Support rebooking campaigns.
- Promote resident referral opportunities.
- Work closely with the Sales Team.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Monitor engagement and occupancy KPIs.
- Help identify opportunities to improve resident satisfaction and retention.

Experience You'll BringEssential
- Experience working within customer service, hospitality, retail, leisure or residential living.
- Experience supporting or supervising a team.
- Experience managing customer enquiries and resolving issues.
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- An understanding of health and safety responsibilities within a customer-facing environment.

- PBSA experience.
