Overview
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Dismantlers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely dismantling vehicles in a professional environment, ensuring all parts are removed efficiently and accurately. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in automotive mechanics and hands-on work, providing valuable experience within the vehicle recycling industry. The position is paid and suitable for those who are physically capable of handling demanding tasks. Wage to be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities

Safely dismantle vehicles using appropriate hand tools and power tools, following safety protocols at all times
Remove and organise vehicle parts for resale or recycling purposes
Use mechanical knowledge to identify and extract valuable components efficiently
Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts and assemblies, adhering to safe lifting techniques
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly after use
Assist with the disposal of non-recyclable materials in accordance with environmental regulations
Conduct quality checks on dismantled parts to ensure they meet company standards

Qualifications

Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with automotive components is preferred
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout shifts
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Physical fitness to handle demanding manual tasks in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in vehicle dismantling or similar roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
