THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for an experienced Print Production Manager who can walk in and own production from day one.
You’ll be hands-on, running the machines and leading by example. This is your department to run. As you prove yourself, you’ll take on more responsibility across workflow, planning, team development, and quality standards.
We’re building a production function that operates at the highest level in the industry. If you have the technical expertise and the right attitude, this is your chance to shape it.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll already have strong hands-on experience operating the following (or equivalent) at a high level:
- HP Latex wide format printers
- Epson SureColor wide format printers
- Flatbed cutters — VeloBlade, Summa F-Series or similar
- Roll-to-roll and flatbed laminators
- Roll-to-roll vinyl cutters — Summa S-Class or equivalent
You’ll also be fully proficient in:
- Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator & Photoshop)
- CorelDRAW
- Onyx Print RIP software
Key strengths:
- End-to-end colour management, profiling, and consistent output across substrates
- Artwork preflighting, preparation, and production setup
- Strong organisation, deadline ownership, and quality focus
- Clear communication and the ability to lead and feed work to production operatives
- A proactive mindset — you see what needs doing and get it done
Important: This role requires proven, hands-on experience. We will show you our processes and standards, but you must already be confident on the equipment and software. Training on core machines and RIPs is not provided.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Day-to-day you’ll run the production floor:
- Preflight and set up artwork files for production
- Manage colour accuracy and RIP output on HP Latex and Epson SureColor printers
- Operate flatbed cutters (VeloBlade/Summa), vinyl cutters, and laminators
- Handle laminating, weeding, mounting, and finishing to the highest standard
- Manage media stock and ordering
- Keep the production queue organised and hitting deadlines
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Quality-check everything before it leaves the department
- Feed work efficiently to production operatives
As you settle in, you’ll increasingly own production planning, scheduling, and team leadership.
WHAT WE EXPECT — AND WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
We’re building a team of high performers who take pride in doing things properly. In return, we offer a serious role with genuine progression, great kit, and exciting projects.
You’ll own your area, maintain exceptional standards, and help drive the business forward. If you thrive in a high-quality, fast-paced environment, you’ll fit right in.
THE MONEY
£32,000 – £36,000 depending on experience, plus a performance-based bonus.
As your responsibilities and impact grow, your salary will reflect that. We believe in paying good people well and rewarding strong performance.
