Process Quality Engineer

Location: Leeds, UK
Job Type: Permanent
Work Mode: Onsite (5 Days/Week)
Open Positions: 2

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Process Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in process quality, manufacturing processes, statistical analysis, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and GMP/ISO quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and improve measurement systems, including destructive and non-destructive testing methods for manufacturing processes.
Create and maintain control plans based on product classification, defect types, process capability, and product risk.
Develop, implement, and interpret process monitoring and process control methods.
Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to support process improvements.
Develop and implement standard and non-standard sampling plans.
Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and evaluate the effectiveness of measurement systems and testing methods.
Assess manufacturing process capability and identify common and special cause variations.
Apply statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, and acceptance sampling techniques.
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and validation requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Process Quality Engineer or in a similar manufacturing quality role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality engineering principles.
Hands-on experience with:
Lean Manufacturing
Six Sigma
Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Design of Experiments (DOE)
Experience developing control plans and process monitoring strategies.
Good understanding of sampling plans and statistical analysis.
Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and validation regulations is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in Medical Devices, Biomedical, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments will be preferred.
