About the Role
Leeds Sixth Form are recruiting for a Science Teacher to join our team. We welcome applications from all Science specialisms and also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers.
Teaching across our Sixth Form provision of Level 2 and Level 3 learners, you will be carrying out the Sixth Form’s vision to pioneer our STEM provision for students across West Yorkshire. This will include teaching across our BTEC and Access Courses as well as transitioning to the new AAQ syllabus in the new academic year. In our BTEC provision teachers teach across the Science subject areas.
Our Science teachers teach across all science specialisms, but an ability to teach the Biology specialism is preferred.

What You Will Do
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.

About You
- Holds a L5 Teaching Qualification (eg. Cert Ed, PGCE).

Relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject.

Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.

Experience of setting appropriate SMART targets to ensure progression of learners.

Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance the learning journey and learner progression.

Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their full potential.
