Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety practices and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a range of fried dishes according to established recipes and specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including the fryer station.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and taste.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help maintain inventory levels of cooking supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing.
Skills
- Strong culinary skills with experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in frying techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for handling food.
