Job description

Experienced Optical Assistant required for a friendly group of independent optician’s practices in Tyneside
Must have previous experience in the optical sector.
The role involves advising clients with frame and lens choice and administrative tasks.
Driving licence/own transport preferred as travel between branches will be required
Hours flexible
Sales related bonus.

Responsibilities and Duties

Dispensing spectacle frames and lenses at all levels

Adjusting and repairing spectacles

Instruction on handing, insertion and removal of contact lenses

Ordering contact lenses for patients.

Answering telephone & making appointments.

Online PCSE submissions

Cash handling and using card machine.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous optical experience is essential.
