Full job description

Overview
We are seeking additional talented and passionate Pizzaiolo, Part Time or Full Time, to join our new and exciting brand ZaNapoli. We are opening a new flagship venue in Monkseaton and are looking to add some more quality to our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the art of pizza and have previously worked with a Wood Fired oven.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing culinary techniques and best practices.
Assist in the presentation of dishes, ensuring they are visually appealing before serving.

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, with solid prior pizza chef experience.
Strong pizza experience with previous experience of using a Wood Fired Oven.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
