Technical Manager (Import/Export)

Were looking for a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our technical team and play a pivotal role in supporting Biscuit Internationals European factories to successfully supply UK retailers, high street discounters, and brand owners.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact for UK customers and Biscuit International sourcing entities.

Ensure all manufacturing sites meet UK customer codes of practice and support audits, including action close-outs.

Develop and implement the BIUK Food Manufacturing Standard, aligning with UK customer requirements.

Manage third-party auditing teams and support continuous improvement across sourcing sites.

Provide technical support during UK customer audits and maintain accurate portal information.

Respond to customer and sourcing entity enquiries promptly (within agreed SLAs).

Support UK specification writing during peak periods.

Represent Technical at C2L Project Meetings and communicate key updates to the wider team.

Maintain a single source of information for all cross-sell SKUs and factories.

Track costs related to audits, portals, SEDEX/SMETA, and travel.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Food technology or equivalent

Food Science related Degree or equivalent

Minimum 2 years experience in Quality / Technical Managerial role in a food manufacturing environment

Minimum 2 years experience in UK Retailer supplier food manufacturing environment

Thorough understanding of retailer practices and frameworks
