Job Overview
We are seeking a HGV PMI Technician to work on our preventative maintenance lane,
This role involves performing preventative maintenance inspections and very minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
This is a very light duty role and would suit a semi retired candidate.
Inspections are pre planned and list is given at start of shift at scheduled intervals.
no manual lifting required
All repair lists found on PMI inspections will be passed to the main workshop for repairs to be carried out.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough preventative maintenance inspections (PMI) on HGV vehicles.
- Load/Unload of vehicles
- Brake testing
- Complete PMI worksheets/ training will be provided
- Carry out small minor repairs- changing bulbs/tighten bolts etc
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
Requirements
- Experience in vehicle maintenance specialising in heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for heavy vehicles
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in workshop environment

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
