NIPO is a brand-new premium dining concept, combining the bold flavours of Brazil with the elegance and precision of Japanese cuisine. Opening soon on Newcastle Quayside, we are creating an exceptional bar experience and are looking for talented Bartenders, Bar Supervisors and experienced Mixologists to join our team from day one.

We are looking for passionate and experienced bar professionals who have a genuine love for creating outstanding drinks, delivering memorable guest experiences and helping to establish a bar operation that reflects the quality and ambition of the NIPO brand.
The ideal candidate will not only have strong cocktail and mixology skills but also a solid understanding of wine, spirits and beverage pairings, with the confidence to guide guests and enhance their dining experience through thoughtful recommendations.
We Are Looking For
- Experienced Bartenders with a strong background in premium hospitality.
- Bar Supervisors with proven leadership experience.
- Skilled Mixologists with creativity, technical knowledge and passion for cocktails.
- Beverage professionals with knowledge of wine, spirits and food pairings.
- Individuals who understand the importance of service, presentation and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working in high-end restaurants, cocktail bars, hotels or premium hospitality venues.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, modern mixology techniques and premium spirits.
- Creativity and confidence in developing unique cocktails and delivering exceptional drinks.
- Good understanding of wine styles, grape varieties, regions and food pairing principles.
- The ability to confidently recommend wines, cocktails and beverages that complement different dishes and enhance the guest experience.
- Knowledge of premium wines, sake, Japanese spirits, Brazilian beverages or international drinks would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent understanding of ingredients, flavour combinations and presentation.
- A passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with guests.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy, high-volume environment while maintaining the highest standards.
- Experience leading, training or developing other team members would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of Japanese, Brazilian, fusion or premium dining concepts would be an advantage.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Delivering exceptional bar service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
- Preparing high-quality cocktails, wines, spirits and beverages to the highest standards.
- Advising guests on drink selections, wine choices and pairings to complement their dining experience.
- Supporting the development of the beverage menu, cocktail offering and wine selection.
- Maintaining consistency, presentation and attention to detail across every drink served.
- Training and supporting junior bartenders and team members.
- Ensuring the bar operates efficiently during busy service periods.
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and stock control.
- Creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for every guest.
