Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about construction painting and decorating to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking as necessary before painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and client specifications
Mix paints and colours accurately to match desired shades
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or a related field is desirable
Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
Fluency in English with strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high standards of service
