We are seeking a reliable, flexible and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist/Nurse to join our private practice.
This is a great opportunity for someone seeking regular part time hours with flexibilty for additonal shifts. The role will invlve supporting the team the clinical team.
Hours : Alternative Mondays 09:30-6.00pm Additonal hours available to provide holiday, sickness and team cover when required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reception duites ; scheduling appointments, payments, patient support and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. When neccessary assisting with clinical procedures. Prior experience in dental nursing or reception is advantageous.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling efficiently
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide patient care by offering pre- and post-treatment advice and support
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and processing payments
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to facilitate smooth clinic operations
Qualifications
- Experience in patient care or nursing within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to a busy environment
