About Us: Welcome to First Chord Music School, located in the West End of Glasgow. At First Chord, we're passionate about igniting excitement for music in our students and fostering their creativity. We believe in providing a friendly, supportive and inspiring environment where students of all ages can explore their musical talents and grow both technically and artistically. Location: This position is based in-person at our West End, Glasgow location.

Employment Type: Freelance

Schedule: We are looking to fill a slot on Tuesday afternoons / evenings, with the potential for additional Sunday work.

Responsibilities:

Teach guitar lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, including both children and adults
Prepare students for Rock School grade exams as well as developing their listening and composition skills
Maintain a positive and encouraging teaching environment to support student growth and confidence

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience teaching guitar to a diverse range of ages and skill levels
An understanding of music theory and the ability to teach different musical styles

Skills and Attributes:

Exceptional proficiency in guitar
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching and music
A commitment to making music education exciting and accessible to all students

Salary and Benefits: Teaching rate: £24 p/h | Other work (e.g. staff meetings, school shows): £12.21 p/h
