Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Leddie Hotel in Aberlady, East Lothian. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation and safety of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help troubleshoot technical issues promptly and implement preventive maintenance strategies. Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety standards are met.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems.
Conduct welding repairs when necessary to restore equipment functionality or structural integrity.
Lead maintenance activities, coordinating tasks, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and safety documentation to support compliance and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with other departments to address customer service needs related to equipment performance or hotel issues.

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong background in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated ability to read technical diagrams and manuals accurately.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to prioritise safety while maintaining productivity.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, while managing multiple tasks effectively.
